“new album coming this halloween”

The Maine have been around for 6 years. Now, I could write an emotional post about how they mean to me every anniversary, hell, I could write it every day, but the thing is… nothing would change. I still love them as much as I did when I found out about them, and I’ve grown to love them more by every song I hear and with every word we conversate. And that’s the thing that strikes me most. They’re a band with steadfast, consistent talent, passion, dedication, genuineness, honesty, devotion, deliverance… the list goes on and on.
Normally, that wears off. Bands get less involved as their personal lives take over, they get less passionate as the tour life gets more continuous, they get less friendly as the same people around them start to get on their nerves.
Conflicts evolve. Music is put to silence. Family comes first, work comes second, bands come third. Real life takes over the dream life. They start to think they’ll have to continue their education to succeed in life, they think it’s too good to be true. They think nobody cares anymore.
But oh, are they wrong.
The Maine have shown that with persistent hard work, you can achieve anything. Independently or not, they did it. They fought through all the setbacks and they won. They proved everyone wrong who failed to believe. They grew into the people I’ve wished they’d become - and I grew with them, into the person they’ve made me.
I think their struggles have only become apparent once they knew the fight was won. You can hear the pain through music in their work and through words in their latest DVD. They’re good in hiding it from us, taking off to a farm or safe haven, but they know we need them as much as they need us. They’ve somehow managed to keep down to eart… sane, through this chaos. Their bond with all the fans is amazing and it makes me so much more proud to be a part of this all. Their crew and management work just as hard as them and that is truly unique; an entire family who puts their all into their passion.
It’s amazing, and above all inspiring.
I can never thank the guys enough for all they’ve done and all they’ll come to do - all the roads they’ve crossed and all the paths that lay before them - the written chapters and empty pages - the music and the misery - the past six years and the sixty more to come.
It’s a privilege to be a part of this family and it’s an experience I will never ever come across again. Cannot wait to see what the future holds for you and us all.
